Waste Segregation and Management

The students of grades VI, VII and VIII were active participants of a session on Waste Management and Segregation. The session was conducted by Ms. Janani Venkitesh and Ms. Saranya Palanichami from ROKA- Residents Of Kasturiba Nagar Association. It was an engaging session filled with wise games to understand the need to manage waste efficiently, especially the immediate waste generated in their surroundings. As a post session activity, students were encouraged to drop their used pens in a dropbox. The collected pens would be sent for recycling. Students of grade VII were active participants of a plastic punching session as part of effective recycling. This was to create awareness on reducing and recycling MLP (Multi Layered Plastic) which are generally hazardous to the environment if not segregated and discarded properly.

Let’s Football

The under-15 boys football team of Hari Shree participated in the Interschool Invitation football Tournament organized by Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School.

Multitalented

Sahasra Sadanand of grade II won the 2nd place in the singing competition, 3rd place in the story telling competition and a consolation prize in the drawing competition of the Maha Utsav 2023, conducted by Wonderful kidzee.

 

Sahana S. of grade VII participated in the Margazhi Utsavam and received the Natya Kalaimani title for her Bharatanatyam Performance. She also got an opportunity to display her paintings in the Varnam Art show.

Dance Recital

B Slaqshna of grade III won the best performer award for her Bharatanatyam performance at Sridevi Nrithyalaya’s Nrithya Kalika. She also won the special prize for reciting Thiruppavai at the divine premises of Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Temple.

Kata – Karate

Viyan Harshavardhan of grade IV participated in the “Open Karate Championship” and secured 3rd place in the individual Kata event.

 

V. Lohith Krishna of grade V won the 2nd place in individual karate-kata competition for the under-11 category at the 24th All India Karate Championship competition held at DB Jain College.

 

Dev Amudhan Venkatesh of grade II won 1st place in All India Karate Championship -2023 conducted by Gurukulam sports and charitable trust.

 

Siddharth R. of grade IV won 1st and 2nd place in Kumite and Thunder kicks conducted by Zen Isshinryu Karate, State Level Championship.

 

Get, Set, Goal

Teerth Kothari R of grade IV participated in a football match conducted by “All India Football Federation” and won the match. He also received a trophy for the best striker in the under 11 category.

Hall Ticket Pooja

When you surround yourself with divinity and positive energy you can achieve great things. Hall tickets were distributed to students of grades X and XII, after seeking the divine’s blessings through the Pooja. Parents and teachers also blessed the students and wished them the best for the upcoming board examinations.

Everything counts

The students of the middle school and grades IX and XI put up a Math Expo for their peers and acharyas. The students explored the influence of math in every sphere of life, be it nature, game, art, history, medicine, food or space. They explained their models and the complex concepts with ease to everyone who visited their desk. This exhibition enabled the students to gain a deeper understanding of Math and also provided them with the platform to apply their learning and showcase their knowledge.

Science of Today, Technology of Tomorrow

Students of the middle school showcased various projects and self-designed working scientific models during the Math and Science Project Display. They also explained the working of their projects and experiments with great enthusiasm, to their peers and acharyas who visited their desk. This experiential learning experience helped boost the students’ confidence in their knowledge of concepts and skills in Science and also reflect on their learning.

Primary Sports Carnival

Students from the primary had their Sports carnival in our school premises where they participated in various activities and demonstrations to showcase their endurance in fitness. The demonstrations helped children feel brisk and energetic. Participating in sports and other physical activities can help an individual to develop a variety of skills and to gain experience and confidence.
