The school has a large playground to cater to various games and sports. The school playground has been developed for various outdoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, and unstructured outdoor play. The playground has two cricket pitches, a cemented basketball court, a volley ball court and a long jump pit. Two badminton courts are in the courtyard inside the building to ensure play schedules are not affected even on windy days. There is also an indoor table tennis hall which houses 3 tables. A jungle gym is housed in a separate sand enclosure for younger children.
Well designed laboratories provide students with the opportunities to learn concepts through experiments and to develop the skills of observation, recording, handling materials and equipment etc. Hari Shree has well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science labs for exploration and learning by students. Besides the sciences, the school also has labs for Math and Art labs.
Solver’s Space is an in-school problem-solving platform that allows our students to experiment and build prototypes that solve real-life environment and civic problems in their locality. The global entrepreneurship program at Hari Shree provides a platform for the students to inquire, discuss and identify problems that need to be solved. Students get hands-on experience working with tools and equipment to understand the what, how, and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Hari Shree has a spacious, well-stocked and equipped library. An inspiring, elegant space of 4000 sq. ft with over 20,000 books and a digital library for teachers provides an enriching environment for all. Besides anytime access to both students and teachers, students up to grade 8 enjoy a weekly library hour. There are also three large halls, each of around 4000 sq. Ft, especially for cultural activities.
Our classrooms are brightly lit, well-ventilated, breezy and open out into the garden with large windows, bringing nature in and helping our students breathe healthy air all day. There are pin-up boards in each classroom and are kept current with the learning, living and colorful, with our students’ creative work on display. Every classroom has sufficient storage space in cabinets for each child to store their belongings. Children of grades 2-4 are seated on the floor, on individual mats with a writing table each. Sitting cross-legged on the floor helps in the development and strengthening of the torso in the formative years. Students from Grade 5 and above use individual desks and chairs. Each classroom has shelves outside the class near the door for footwear to be placed. We keep our classrooms as clean as we would keep our own homes.
The school dining hall has a seating capacity of around 200 students. Lined with huge windows, the dining hall has an opulence of natural sunlight and fresh air. The school offers breakfast and lunch for children from Grade 2 and above, as an option. Multiple food counters are set up in different corners of the dining hall for the students to move about and have their food served. The menu is kept healthy and interesting for the children and undergoes regular review.
Cleanliness, hygiene, quality and taste are our primary considerations. Our staff is very well-experienced and we serve vegetarian cuisine.
The centrally air-conditioned audio-visual room has a seating capacity of about 300 students. Equipped with modern overhead projectors, multimedia, the latest audio-video & karaoke units which are capable of being reconfigured to suit different needs, it is an extensively used facility for lectures, classroom presentations, meetings, assemblies, and school programs , etc.
With a seating capacity of 300, the auditorium at Hari Shree boasts of a traditional architecture with large windows and a spacious courtyard providing excellent cross-ventilation. Designed with superior acoustics, it is used extensively for school events like project day, annual day, exhibitions, celebrations, etc. A vast multi-purpose space that can be adapted quickly to various needs, it becomes a haven for children during hot summer afternoons to practice exercises and drills rather than toiling in the scorching sun.
The school store is open during school hours for the children to buy stationery supplies. It is also kept open on all parent visit days for ease of access to parents as well.
