Seva Culmination

The Middle School learners displayed their stewardship and entrepreneurial skills by organising a sale. Their products were the end result from various focus areas of their seva sessions. The funds raised through this sale were used for procuring a composter. This will enable the learners to be involved in sustainable practices.

Adieu Seniors

The farewell was a memorable occasion for the outgoing grade XII learners to gather on campus one last time before they embarked on their new journey and pursuits in life. The graduating students reminisced and shared about the years of fun, learning and memories made at Hari Shree.

Varnajala

Varnajala, the Annual Art Exhibition showcased many works of art and craft of the learners and staff of Junior and Senior Campus. The event compiled myriad expressions of art such as tie and dye, bleaching, embroidery, pottery, sculpture, murals, canvas paintings, water colour, weaving, recycled crafts and more. Work done by the learners during the Creative Expressions classes, Spot Studies, After School activities and Portrait Drawing sessions were also showcased.

Grade XI – Chittirai Thirunal

The learners of grade XI performed along the theme of Chittirai Thirunal, welcoming the vasanta kaalam and Tamil New Year. A perspective on Tamil culture was brought out through various performances. The classical dance combined three dance forms, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. The play was a humorous tale on the traditional Kanjeevaram Idlis. The music students brought to life ‘Sem Mozhi’, the tamil song. The western dance performance was a fusion of Tamizh culture and modern moves. The silambam and visual arts students also brought forth the theme.

Grade VII – Unsung Women

The grade VII CE presentation theme for this year was a tribute to unsung women. The passionate tunes of the music team captivated the audience. The classical dance performance on the three goddesses Lakshmi, Parvathi and Saraswathi was very apt. The drama illustrated the discrimination that women entrepreneurs encounter on a daily basis. The Western dance and silambam teams stunned everyone with their incredible moves. The visual art exhibits also reflected the theme of unsung women.

Grade VI- Republic Day

The grade VI learners presented on the theme of Republic Day. The patriotic play brought to light the forgotten stories of women freedom fighters. The learners also exhibited their skills through various performances that included dance, art, music and silambam, while keeping the theme of Republic Day alive.

Grade II –Vasanthotsavam

‘Vasanthotsavam’, The grade II presentation on the celebration of spring season commenced with the lighting of the kuthuvilakku along with an invocation song to seek the blessings of goddess Saraswathi. The classical dance rendition depicted the beauty of spring in the garden. The enactment of the tale of Kalinga Narthana by the theatre artists captivated the audience. The event concluded with a vibrant Holi dance.

Grade III – Uzhavar Utsavam

The presentation for grade III centered around the theme of Uzhavar Utsavam. The harvest dance and the folk music performances highlighted the value of farming and the role of farmers in our daily lives. The event concluded with a theatrical performance of “Pongal Dangal,” leaving the audience entertained.

Grade IV – Margazhi

Grade IV presentation focussed on the theme of Margazhi. The event was a celebration of devotion, culture, and tradition, showcasing the talents and dedication of our learners. The event that commenced with a soul-stirring rendition of “Sara Sara Samarai” by saint Tyagaraja was a divine musical offering dedicated to Lord Rama. The invocatory Bharatanatyam dance, “Pushpanjali,” was followed by “Thiruppavai,” where the dancers praised Lord Vishnu. A mesmerizing song medley included iconic compositions such as “Ranganai Aadhi Andhanai,” highlighting Aandal’s contributions to the world, and “Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai” by Subramaniya Bharathiyar, depicting the devotion to Lord Krishna. A captivating drama portraying the life of ‘Aandal,’ was brought to life by the theatre group, reminding us of the power of faith and devotion.

Grade V – Dharmotsavam

Learners of grade V presented on the theme of Dharmotsavam. The session commenced with lighting the kuthuvilakku, followed by recitations from the verses of ‘Gita Dhyanam’. The vibrant classical dance performance to a Mahabharata song, followed by a soothing music rendition took the audience back in time. The Mahabharata title song and ‘Yaadum Oore Yaavarum Kelir’ emphasized our school motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam”.
