Expressions, a skill-enhancing platform, has provided more stage opportunities for peer learning, replacing the yearly annual day productions. During grade VII Vinayak Chathurthi celebration, students focused on skill development and confidence building. The 0presentation highlighted Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s contribution towards making this festival a nationwide celebration. Classical Music students performed ‘Vathapi Ganapathim’ and a classical dance to ‘Shri Vighnarajam Bhaje’. Theatre students presented ‘Vinayaka Chathurti – An Ode’, a spoken word poetry performance. Western dance students danced to Ganesha Tandava Stotram, while traditional art students showcased ‘Silambattam’. Visual Art students displayed their creativity with a Lord Ganesha project made from reused paper. From classical dance to classical music, silambam to fusion dance, from art to theatre, students of grade VII had an array of performances line up to mark this festival.
