Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam hosted its second inter school culturals event ‘The Vizha’, at its school campus between 8:30 and 3:30 pm on Friday, June 26.
Twenty two events witnessed the participation of over 150 students from 15 schools. The programme was flagged off by radio jockey Shiva and film director Shashi who graced the opening ceremony.
The events were held at venues that ranged from the play ground and classrooms to the school auditorium. Minute-to-win-it, sporting events like Futsal and basketball, Fireless Cooking, Quiz and Magic Needle witnessed the maximum participation. The winners of all the the events came together for a surprise event at the closing ceremony.
Three runners-up received cycles from TI cycles while the top three finalists bagged tablets sponsored by Poorvika Mobiles. Individual trophies were given to the first two places. The students in the top three positions in each event also received certificates. Holy Angels school, T Nagar emerged the overall champion and took home a huge trophy.
Music and food stalls added to the electric atmosphere in the school campus.
The events were put together by the twelfth grade students of Hari Shree with the support of their juniors, school teachers and staff.
The sponsors included Crea-shakthi, Spaarc Fitness, Hercules-BSA, Naidu Hall, GlobalArt, Munuswamy Chetty and Co and Poorvika Mobiles.
