Education is a force to unite people, nations, cultures and communities for peace and a sustainable future. This idea has been at the heart of what we do at Hari Shree, since its founding in 2004. We believe education is more than just personal advancement. It inspires enterprising curiosity, instills undying spirit, fosters tenacity in pursuit and develops compassion. Towards achieving this, our academic excellence program is styled to have the following components-
Our students learn by being actively involved in the process. Specific goal-oriented tasks and activities are designed with the intent to provide opportunities to explore, interact and try hands-on, thereby developing critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
Our students are engaged in real-world learning, giving them a deeper understanding of concepts through relevant and authentic experiences. Our academic projects are designed to explore real world problems, ask questions and find answers. This promotes active learning, develops higher order thinking and 21st century skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking.
Class Assemblies are an inherent routine in our weekly schedule. Besides providing the children an opportunity to interact with the larger group, it also provides a perfect platform for the children to introspect and interact on the core values of the school. To optimise the learning experience, the children are grouped according to age levels so that the activities correspond to their growing needs.
Academic mentoring at Hari Shree is used to support individual students to maximize their potential. Specific programs designed by our subject experts motivate students into becoming reflective and independent learners. Individual interaction, guidance and timely feedback are focal to this. Students are guided to set goals for themselves and are empowered to achieve them.
Our students get ample opportunities at school to learn about job/career opportunities and explore what each entails. Guest lectures, field trips, outbound trips and interactive sessions with experts from different fields are organized all through the year by our Career Guidance Cell. At the middle and high school levels, career guidance is provided to empower students to choose their subjects and to guide them in applying for the right courses for higher education.
Office Hours with the class teacher is a time earmarked for every student of the class to meet the teacher at least once a month mandatorily, to discuss the academic progress and for any additional mentoring. In addition to this, Support Hours are offered to provide individual subject-related support to the students. The support hour can be initiated by the student or the teacher.
As an extension of the activity-based and project-based learning, field trips and outbound trips are planned to connect the classroom with real-life and authentic experiences. These trips help widen the horizons of knowledge and broaden the scope of learning.
