Reading Programme:

In an attempt to enable students develop reading habit and become life long readers CHSV has been motivating students by introducing different Reading Programmes.  This academic year we have introduced Reading Challenge programme – READING WILD for grades II to V and Reading Challeng Programme – ENCHANTED WORLD OF READING for grades VI to VIII. As part of this programme primary grade students can pick books based on animal stories like Panchatantra, Aesop’s Fables, Jataka Tales and the like. The middle grade students have excerpts from Classical lliterature as part of their English Curriculum and hence it would be apt for them to read classical Literature Titles.  The library has about 330 volumes under this genre and the list has been shared with the students.  It has been decided to reward the students who read more than 10 books from this collection.
