Simple Ettiquette

Library is a place where we have readers of all levels – students of various age groups and teachers.  So it is important to provide a suited atmosphere to all of them.

Following the basic ethics and the rules of the library will help one to get the right information at the right time.

  • Maintain silence in the library, for noise will disturb the concentration of the other readers.  Talk in whispers if you need to.
  • Litter not the library.
  • Avoid bringing personal books, books of other libraries, personal belongings like pencil box, umbrella, water bottle or text books to the library.
  • Come with a note and a pencil so as to make note of the information that suits to your taste and interest.
  • Do not disturb the arrangement of the furniture and handle them with care.
  • Ensure that the chairs are placed properly before you leave the library.
  • While handling books be gentle.
  • Put back the books in its place after reading
