About the Club:
The robotics club is an initiative to help students improve their thinking faculties & psycho motor
skills through hands-on experience in building robots. It also helps children apply the knowledge
learned in formal sciences.
About our program:
Unirobo Labs in collaboration with Singapore Robotics Academy, delivers a fully structured robotics
program which will enhance the skills and knowledge of students. The program is a multi-sensory
learning experience in which concepts are exposed to students with a completely hands on session
for each module. Over the last 3 years, hundreds of students and teachers have enjoyed conducting
this program in their schools. Unirobo is constantly researching into creating more and innovative
methodologies to make students enjoy robotics. Annual competitions are events organized by Unirobo
Labs which showcase the talent of school children in a competitive and creative environment. Unirobo
Labs also provide an opportunity for the students to be trained to participate in World Robo Masters
Competition (WRMC), conducted in Singapore year after year at which students who have been trained
on I-Robo kits and content can compete in events.
About the Programme:
The Robotics club will be facilitated by the HSV faculty who have undergone training with Unirobo
Labs. As the course is progressive, it must be noted that a year long commitment is mandatory.
Learning outcomes:
The students will
- Get acquainted with various parts used in building an IROBO
- Learn simple theory of gears, motors, sensors etc.
- Build various robots such as the:
- Soccer robot
- Avoider robot
- Crane robot
- Buggy car robot
- Line tracer robot etc.
- Participate in inter school robotics’ events.
- Gain experience through monthly competitions with their peer groups.
- Participate in international IROBO event in Singapore
Classes will be held on Fridays at the computer lab. The students will work with an IROBO kit in
groups of two/three.
Fees:
- Rs. 1050 for Term 1 (7 sessions)
- Rs. 1500 for term 2 (10 sessions)
- Rs. 1200 for term 3 (8 sessions)
Kindly note:
- As we can only accommodate up to 30 students, kindly note that the registrations will be handled on a first come first served basis.
- Students should bring their own batteries [4 per month]
