Ms. Krithika Anand She has a Masters degree in Commerce.
“The closest I had come to being a teacher, before I joined Hari Shree Vidyalayam, was in my childhood play acting days and I had never thought of it as a career option. Having completed my masters in commerce, I was a
homemaker coming to grips with parenting an active 2-year old. I had my first encounter with the Montessori system of education when my spouse and I chose a Montessori school for my son in USA.

I was impressed with the system of learning and I searched for more information and tried to help my son through activities at my home. I also actively volunteered to assist my son’s teachers and learnt more about the system.

When I was offered a job at Hari Shree Vidyalayam, I was apprehensive initially but decided to take the plunge. Teaching at Hari Shree has been such a rewarding and enriching experience for me and I enjoy working with all the little active minds.”

After my second child started full time school, I joined a childcare course and as part of the course worked in a primary school and in a crèche for young children. This was an eye opening experience for me as I rediscovered myself and learned from the children who were my teachers.”

“The way my daughter worked in her Montessori Environment at Hari Shree
Vidyalayam motivated me to know more about the method. Now after the course, I not only know more about the method but the value of each child.
It needs great tact and delicacy to follow the mind of a child from three to six years. The child learns more from his surroundings than he does from us, but we need to assist the child as much as we could.

Parents and Teachers need a special wisdom to know how to satisfy the child’s imagination; the only thing we could do is put education on a scientific footing, so that children can work effectively, without being disturbed. I would like to put forth my favorite quotes by Dr. Maria Montessori, ‘Be worthy for the child’ ‘It is not that we do as we like, but we like what we do’.”
