As a parent of a tenth Grader at Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, I would like to congratulate the school on the conduct of the online classes and exams. In the beginning of the academic year, with the fear of COVID 19 looming large, the agony for the parents of the tenth graders was doubled considering that this year the children were to face their first board exams. The school pacified the fears by taking us through the year one step at a time. The conduct of online classes, the assignments, the exams-all of this happened without a glitch. These are still uncertain times, but the experience with the school so far has given us the assurance that we will cross the bridges on the way…

“Thank you” simply does not adequately express our gratitude for the experience we had during online learning. Microsoft teams is so well programmed that my child found it very easy to access assignments, communicate with teachers for doubts, obtain the learning material and most importantly, to attend the online classes. My child found it easy to learn all the subjects’ concepts fluently and we cannot thank you enough for that. I believe that the way in which the transition to online learning was made during this pandemic, was excellently managed by the school.

As a parent, I was particularly impressed with the interesting mix of online and offline activities. The activities actively engaged the children and were well thought of in the manner it was incor-porated with Montessori methods. The offline activities enabled her to enjoy and start writing and reading too. The Fitnic days every month also gave the much needed physical activity for all the kids and encouraged them to continue to eat healthier snacks as a part of their lifestyle.

Dear Harishree, We, as parents, were very apprehensive about Online schooling at first. But the Acharyas made our children very comfortable and were very patient with them. My daughter who is in PP2, loves to do Art and craft activities and she loves to do the before numbers and after numbers. Acharyas are very calm and explain the concepts really well and they are always open to suggestions. They put in their best even amidst the ongoing covid situation. Kudos to all their efforts. To summarize the hardships faced during the pandemic by the Students, Parents and Acharyas, one thing that stood out in CHSV is the “Adaptability and Proactiveness, without compromising on the quality of the content served”. Though the pandemic is new to all of us, the adaptability shown by the Acharyas, the proactiveness of the school management to embrace technology as an enabling tool, Hat’s off.
