Math Shop is an initiative by Hari Shree Vidyalayam to enable its students to understand business, transactions, profit, loss, percentages, etc., in a real world scenario, by giving them hands-on experience in running a shop. The shop will be run by students of Class VI - IX under the supervision of a teacher.

The Stationery shop is setup in the room adjacent to the ground floor staff room. The stationery shop will be exclusively for all the students of Hari Shree Vidyalayam. The shop will initially sell pencils, sharpeners, erases, rulers, gel pens (blue, black and red), procured from Reynolds and Natraj. The shop will work on a ‘no profit’ and ‘no loss’ basis, with the only aim of providing an enriching experience for our students. Hence the cost of the stationery sold here will be 20-30% less than the MRP.

Students will use different colored tokens (of different denominations, Rs. 10, 5, 2 and 1) for purchase of stationery products from the shop. A set of tokens worth Rs. 30 and Rs. 50 will be sold at the front office. The tokens can be purchased during office hours by the parents of Class II to V students, while the students of Class VI to X can do so themselves. No currency will be accepted at the shop for transactions. We request parents of Class II to V students, not to send money with your child.

The Math Shop will be open only on three days of the week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 12.10 pm to 12.30 pm.
