Independence Day – Celebrating Freedom

We made our very own Indian flags in school with pockets for seeds. The outcome of this activity was to sow the seeds to create a greener tomorrow. This was a wonderful way to commemorate our independence and give back to Mother Earth. Some of us even took this to outside communities as we didn’t want to limit the greenery to just our school!

Independence Day at Hari Shree started off with the traditional flag-hoisting event accompanied by marching by select members of the student council. This was followed by a series of performances by the four houses, such as multilingual speeches, patriotic songs and an energetic dance with a beautiful message. The celebrations ended on a patriotic note as the four houses represented the Indian flag onstage.
