Global School Partnership

With Holywell Primary School, Loughborough UK:

  • HSV and Holywell establish a working partnership and sign a Partnership Agreement to work towards a collaborative learning atmosphere.  This was initiated in April 2009. The Reciprocal Grant was awarded by the Consortium in UK in recognition of the quality work.
  • Reciprocal Visits in 2009-10 : Teachers from both schools visited each other and spent a week in the schools to learn and exchange teaching methodologies and ideas
  • Joint Curriculum Project 2011-12: The partner schools received the second grant for the joint curriculum project between the class V children in both schools. Three teachers from Hari Shree and two teachers from Holywell visited each other to exchange and share teaching-learning practices.
  • As this partnership matures into their third year, the class V students will be working on various collaborative projects from September 2012.
  • We have been successful in receiving the British Council grant to facilitate reciprocal visits of two teachers from each school
  • Ms.Jayanthi Nataraj and Ms.Padmaja Mani visit Holywell between November 5th and 9th.

With Blackfen Secondary School, UK:

  • HSV and Blackfen establish a working partnership and sign a Partnership Agreement to work towards collaborative learning in November 2010.
  • The Governor of the UK school visits HSV thrice during the period 2010-2011 to exchange ideas and plan for the collaborative activities
  • The partnership received the Reciprocal Visit grant. The teachers from both schools completed their  visits as they worked on collaborative projects with class IX
  • As this partnership moves on to the second year, both schools have agreed to continue the collaborative efforts. The class VIII students will be involved in this partnership for the year 2012-13. . We have applied for visit grants for the year 2012-13. Results are awaited.
  • We have been successful in receiving the British Council grant to facilitate reciprocal visits of two teachers from each school.
