The Enrichment Program is offered once a week for all children from Class V to Class IX.
This program is not optional. All children will be evaluated for their knowledge and
acumen in various fields. Based on the results of the evaluation, children will be
assigned by the school to one of the programs listed below.
The Math Enrichment Program
Teacher Facilitators: Ms.S.Rajalakshmi and Ms. Chitra Chockalingam
The objectives of The Math Enrichment program are to:
- facilitate out of box thinking
- offer opportunities to work with manipulatives
- encourage creative and lateral thinking
- To further spur the spirit of enquiry
- Train them for competitive exams like ASSET, NTSE, NSO, IMO, Math
Olympiads and inter school fairs and quizzes
- Guide them in effective peer tutoring
The Activities to look forward to:
- lectures by experts in the field, student achievers and parent volunteers
- field trips to related places of interest
- participation in Science & Math fairs conducted by various institutions and
organizations
- interviews interaction with eminent people in the field
The Science Enrichment Program
Teacher Facilitators: Ms. Pushpalatha and Ms. Lola Shiv Shankar
OBJECTIVE:
To improve, advance and develop scientific education, thinking, research and to
cultivate a spirit of enquiry, the scientific temper and generate a love for
science in the child.
ACTIVITIES PLANNED:
- Demonstrations and Experiments
- Guest lectures
- Awareness of latest discoveries & breakthroughs
- Learning about scientists and discoverers
- Equipping students to participate in science quizzes and programs
- Discussion on audiovisual materials related to science
- Field trips
