Beyond Academics

  • The Bhagwad Geetha chanting has now become an integral part of Harishree. In the 2009-2010 academic year, all three levels competed in the Geetha chanting competition conducted by The Chinmaya Mission. We were the proud winners of 22 first, 22 second, 27 thirde and 47 special prizes. Our children are too young to be taken to excursions so we have 'House Visits'. Each term one child from each environment invites his classmates to his house where he shares his toys and plays games with his classmates. Parents enjoy having the children over and have been wonderful hosts.
  • The academic year 2010-2011 saw the whole school competing for the International School Award(ISA) offered by the British Council. Each grade had a topic to explore and understand internationalism. Our little ones enjoyed being part of the project and had an opportunity to explore the world around them with the help of stories, games, powerpoint presentations and field trips. It was a learning experience not only for the children but also for the teachers and parents.
  • All festivals are celebrated with great joy and fervor. Children learn a lot about the festivals and the mythological stories around it.

This year saw the ‘Sports Carnival ‘taking place in the senior campus. The main aim of the carnival was to create an atmosphere for the children where they could use coordination, dexterity and skills playing games at a pace comfortable to them. There were no winners or losers only very happy children.

Annual Day

The primary aim of the annual day celebrations is to ensure that every child has an opportunity to perform on stage. This year we had three environments coming together to entertain their loved ones in the Annual day celebrations.
