December 17 and 18, 2011

Dhanur Vaibhav – the Annual Cultural Festival of Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, not only provides a platform for our students to showcase their talents but also gives them an opportunity to appreciate and learn about classical Indian arts.

This year, a mega dance drama production based on stories from the life of Krishna was staged. Teachers and students, professionals and amateurs came together to breathe life into legends, folk lore and spiritual philosophy associated with the enigmatic Lord Krishna – his birth, lovable stories from his childhood, Kaliya the serpent, slaying of Poothana and Kamsa,  master manipulator Shakuni, the Pandavas and Kauravas and Bhagavad Gita – the immortal discourse between Krishna and Arjuna.

The production brought together students, teachers and professional artistes and was meticulously choreographed and directed by Shri. M.S. Hariharan.
