Archives – Pongal Celebrations

Pongal was celebrated in both the senior and junior campuses with traditional fervour and gaiety. A pujari guided the school staff and students in worshipping a beautiful cow and its adorable calf. Pongal was cooked in a traditional wood fire under the supervision of the school cook. Colourful ‘kolams’ decorated the school entrance; the school kitchen served sweet pongal and sugar cane was distributed amongst the students. Everyone participated enthusiastically in the proceedings and sought divine blessings.
