French Word Power Exams

Prayatna Educational Society in collaboration with Alliance Francaise, Rouen, France, conducted the State and National Level French Word Power examinations all over India. 38 children from our school participated and 6 children were awarded the top 3 state awards. 21 children were selected for the national level.

Inter School Football Tournament

February 27- 28, 2017

Primrose Schools conducted its 3rd inter school football tournament across various categories.

Our Under 11 Boys did us proud by winning in their category.

Our Under 15 girls emerged runner ups.

Our Under 12 girls and Under 13 boys reached the semi finals.

Our Under 12 Boys Cricket Team won the Kabilan CA – TN Krishnaswamy Pillai Trophy by defeating Gee Ge Cricket Academy in the Finals. Vishal of grade VI was awarded Man of the Match while Dhruv, also of grade VI, was given the Emerging Player award.

Kudos to our U-11 Cricket Team

The school U-11 Cricket Team emerged runners up in the Reddys Tournament. Vishal, Vaibhav, Yuvan, Aadhav and Dhruv won Man of the Match awards during the tournament. Vaibhav was awarded the Best Bowler of the tournament while Yuvan received the Promising Cricketer Award.

Zakya K Palicha of Grade II was the youngest child selected to be a part of Artezvous, an annual kids Art Show at the Cymroza Art Gallery in Mumbai

Vishwa of Grade XI won the Best Delegate award at the IIMUN.

 


 

Excellence in Archery

Hariharan Iyer of Grade II and Vidyut Suresh of Grade VII won silver medals in the 9th Annual State Archery Championship organized by The Archery Association of Tamil Nadu (TAAT) in the Tiny Tots and Sub Junior section respectively.  They will be participating in the National Level Championship which will be held in December 2016.

 

 


 

Gourav Raghavendran – Badminton Champ

Gourav Raghavendran of grade XI won the 2nd place in Tamil Nadu in the ASISC Regional Badminton tournament held in Coimbatore.

 


 

Basket Ball 3 on 3 Runners Up

In the Under 19 basket ball tournament organized by the RMT International School, the CHSV team consisting of Gururaj Iyer, Gourav Raghvendran, Sharvan Kumaran and Tejas Gopalan emerged runners up.

 


 

Anaya V Ganesh – Young Author

Ananya V. Ganesh of grade VI published her first book. A voracious reader, she began penning short stories, skits and poems from the age of eight. She has been developing many stories based on bits and pieces of daily experiences and travel adventures. A foreword to the book is given by Dr. Kiran Bedi, Lt. Governor Puducherry and 1st Woman IPS in India.

National Level First Place for Ms. Nithya Sudhakar

After winning the regional round held at Primrose school in Chennai, Ms. Nithya Sudhakar of grade X entered the finals of the ASISC National Declamation Competition held in Kolkata on September 19, 2016.  She won the First Place in the national competition making the CHSV family proud.

 


 

Albert Barrow Creative Writing Award for Ms. D. Sumedha

D. Sumedha of grade XII won the Third place in the Albert Barrow Creative Writing competition held by the Council in the month of July. The results for the competition were declared in the first week of September.

 


Hidden Heritage Photo Contest

Sandhya Somu of class XII, won the 3rd prize in the Hidden Heritage photo contest organized by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage.

 

 


 

Art competition by INKO

In the K-Art Middle School and High School Art competition organized by the INKO center, Sneha Krishnan from grade IX and Yazhini and Poorvaja from grade X won the Special Select award while Samanvitha from grade IX won the consolation prize.

FITJEE Talent Reward Exam

July 10, 2016 

In the Chennai South Zone FITJEE Talent Reward Exam, 2 of our class VII students, Mahendra Kurup and Adithya B Prakash, won the bronze medal in Math.  The awards were given to the students at a function held in Mutha Venkatasubbarao Hall.

 


 

Gee Ge Trophy Cricket Tournament

July 18, 2016  

Kabilan Cricket Academy conducted an interschool cricket tournament for the Gee Ge trophy on 18th July.  Our Under 12 cricketers competed with 10 other schools in the city and won the third place.

 


 

Wild Life and Biodiversity Quiz

July 15, 2016 

Our students participated in a quiz on bio diversity and wild life that was held at Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram, Kilpauk on 15th July. Adithya Prakash, Sukrithi and Tejas, all students of grade VII, participated in this event and won the consolation prize.

 


 

Five-a-Side Interschool Football Tournament

July 14-16, 2016  

The Vanavani school in the IIT campus conducted a five-a-side interschool football tournament for the U-14 and U-17 categories. In the U-17 category, out of the 15 schools which participated, our students reached the semi finals and won an appreciation award which included a kit bag.

April 28-May 5, 2016 

Our Under 11 cricket team participated in the Friends Trophy U-11 tournament and won all the 7 matches played including the finals against YMCA. Abhinav, Dhruv, Nachiappan and Vishal won individual awards.
